From the moment you step foot on its 150 acres outside of Chicago on Lake Eliza, Camp Lakeside is designed to be a place of bold adventures and endless fun. It's Northwest Indiana's only summer day camp for kids of all abilities, fostering a vibrant, caring, and growth-oriented culture. We partnered with Opportunity Enterprises to develop a brand that captured the camp's welcoming spirit and commitment to providing adventures as unique as every child.

Visual Identity

The project began with comprehensive brand development to establish the foundation of the Camp Lakeside identity. At its core is a hand-drawn custom logo, supported by a vibrant color palette—Ray, Firefly, Wave, Fern, and Violet— chosen to reflect the camp’s spirit of adventure and fun while maintaining accessibility and clarity. To ensure consistency and recognition across all touchpoints, we designed a complete visual system and detailed brand standards manual.

The brand uses custom letterforms supported by whimsical and clean typefaces for a balance of bravery and friendliness. The tagline “Make a Splash” anchors the messaging, while supporting icons and a landscape-inspired pattern system extend the brand across channels. Together, these elements and language reinforce Camp Lakeside's positive, adventurous spirit with a cohesive brand designed to make a splash in every application.

Product Development

The Camp Lakeside brand translated seamlessly into merchandise, apparel, and accessories. From water bottles to camp t-shirts, every item reinforces the camp’s vibrant identity while offering memorable, practical keepsakes for campers and families.

Digital Experience

To create a powerful online presence, we designed and developed a responsive, mobile-first microsite that serves as a user-friendly, engaging hub for prospective campers and their families. Bringing the Camp Lakeside brand to life through photography, videography, and storytelling, the site highlights program offerings, promotes registrations, and conveys the camp’s inclusive culture with bold visuals, simple navigation, and optimized performance—providing everything families need to dive into the adventure.
